Description
Cricket powder 1kg, high quality, 100% natural, made from high quality house crickets (Acheta domestica Sp) and packed in foil pouches with a 2-year shelf-life.
Insects, such as crickets, contain chitin, which can hinder the absorption of essential proteins and nutrients. Traditional drying methods fail to break down or eliminate chitin effectively. That’s why we utilize a commercial microwave-drying oven to process our crickets. This method transforms chitin into Chitosan, a form that enhances the absorption of proteins and peptides. Unlike chitin, Chitosan is associated with numerous health benefits, including aiding in weight loss and helping manage blood sugar and blood pressure levels.
We raise our crickets on commercial GAP-certified farms. We feed them a healthy diet of mixed grains and vegetables and ensure their living areas are clean and hygienic. We clean, process, and pack them at our HACCP-certified factory.
Cricket powder is 100% natural, no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours have been added. Cricket flour is a good source of protein, iron and vitamin B12, it is also low in fat.
Cricket powder can be used in a number of ways, for example energy bars, snacks, smoothies, fortified flours and much more. It can be used to improve the taste and nutritional content of any food.
It takes approximately 11,120 crickets to make 1 kilo of cricket powder.
